Boulez is super cool
Here is a clip of Pierre Boulez conducting the second movement (Fêtes) of Debussy’s Nocturnes in London back in 1968.
It is a teaser trailer for a DVD that Naxos is hawking.
The only way that could have been better would be if he was wearing a leather jacket, and the entire orchestra were wearing those shades.
Maybe Dave Frishberg can come up with another stanza for PB in his classic (sung here by NJ’s John Pizzarelli).
